• Question: Is it hard being an engineer?

      You have to use your brain! But that’s what I like about being an engineer.

      By the time you’re an engineer either through apprenticeship training or university training you should know a lot! Your job as an engineer is to solve problems using that knowledge. I still learn something new every day which makes me more able to solve problems that come up.

      It can be challenging because I deal with engineers from different companies, of different ages and backgrounds but that’s what also makes it interesting and enjoyable when things go well!

      Sometimes, yes! When you get a hard problem or an important deadline…

      But that’s not a bad thing – that’s part of the fun as well. It makes the job interesting. I get bored if what I do is too easy – I really enjoy the variety of work that I get to do as an engineer with RWE.

      No… Nothing is hard as long as you have an interest and you enjoy your work.
